Potaka Whanau Trust
The Potaka Whanau Trust was established to act as kaitiaki of shared māori land for the descendants of Utiku Potaka and Rora Tioiroa. The trustee's are also descendants and represent different parts of the whanau.
The trustee's meet regularly to discuss matters of concern and are not limited to purely land issues. The trust was set up under the Ahu Whenua Trusts Act and vested by The Māori Land Court.
