Te Runanga o Ngati Hauiti
Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Hauiti is the representative tribal body for ngā whānau and ngā hapū of Ngāti Hauiti centred in the Rangitïkei. The kaupapa of the Rūnanga seeks to develop and protect all those things that relate to Ngāti Hauiti whānui and to ensure the enhancement and preservation of Hauititanga.
The role of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Hauiti is to provide leadership through sound Governance which involves giving guidance and direction. In order to achieve this purpose, the Rūnanga will focus its activities in three broad functional areas namely;
- Iwi Issues
- Whānau & Hapū Development
- Service Provision
The Rūnanga utilises the services of three service delivery Trusts namely; Te Maru o Ruahine Trust, Te Pātiki Trust Board and the Rākautaonga Whenua Topu Trust
